It turns out there's a very interesting story behind all of it. You'll never see it on CNN, that's for sure, but it's something you deserve to get the info on. Dan Rather brings good old fashioned interesting and pertinent TV reporting back for an hour as he brings you what he found out about electronic voting machines, the hanging chads of Y2K, and outsourced jobs. I could watch stuff like this all day.

We loved this one. It's wicked good. It's not that you haven't heard most of it before, it's just that you never saw it all pinpointed and strung together so powerfully before. It's fast paced, nearly encylopedic, and even though you'll see dozens of famous faces they're not on the screen for long, there's too much to cover. It's a direct kick in the crotch to the official lies that won't be so easy to recover from. This movie does a very nice job of zooming out a little to put Sept 11 inside a bigger picture which gives it a more powerful feel and a more meaningful perspective to consider. This offering from Canadian Broadcasting takes a look at the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr in a different way than the US broadcasters do. Instead of focusing on the violence and hyping the official US government version of the "facts", they were free to explore everything and consider all of the evidence. I learned more about that day here than ever before. The documentary also does a good job of letting you know who this man was and why he was so important, and why his loss is more than tragic. It's a moving, informative film well worth watching.

In another exploration into political assassinations from the CBC, this documentary is filled with first hand accounts of the press and others in attendance when Robert F. Kennedy was murdered. Alternating between serious story telling and forays into moments of weirdness, it still manages to relay the facts about how the facts don't add up. It doesn't dig deep enough to make the case, but it is enough to make it clear who would have wanted yet another leader of the people dead. It wouldn't be the people. Footage I've never seen before along with testimonies from those who were there, including a young man who heard Robert's last words. They were questions, wanting to know if everyone else was all right. It's true it seems, the good do die young.

From 1994, this offering from the other side of the pond is very thorough, giving dozens of first hand accounts and footage, and plenty of testimonies pointing out how our intelligence people were right on the scene shortly after it happened. Descriptions of their activities make it obvious there was something really ugly going on there. I didn't get all the way through this one but for anyone who really likes to dig in to Conspiracies, this will be nirvana. Om.

At least from the perspective of the usual types, high level officials and status quo. It's worth watching if for no other reason than to see how our officials want us to think of the Saudis. The real world is not much mentioned, just the world according to those who have all the power and money. You know, like I said, the usual. Some interesting insights and a quote from a religious zealot who
says women are inferior to men. What a peach he is, you'll love him. I know I did.

This excellent episode of PBS Frontline exposes the fraud and predatory nature of credit card banks. I've always wondered why they call them credit cards when the fact is, they're debt cards. I guess they couldn't sell you on getting one or two or eight or ten if they called them what they really are. This is a very good film, well worth watching. It'll wise you up to the wolves.

What is there though is enough to gain a little officially sanctioned perspective on the big shots who pull the strings of power. The really juicy stuff, like the whole truth, will never be made public, so you gotta take what you can get. This would be it.
